Zocar Side Effects: A Good Medication

I don’t have a cholesterol problem, however, due to a carotid artery problem my doctor wants to make sure that my arteries stay clear and her choice of medication is Zocar (Simvastatin). It is a high choice of physicians for its lack of side effects and that has been true in my case; I have not had any side effects. The standard dosage of Zocar is 10 milligrams.
In researching the possible side effects I found that for some people gas, constipation, cramping, headache and blurred vision occur. These are mild side effects and one should adapt to them over time. The more severe side effects (when the doctor should be contacted), would include muscle pain, muscle weakness or muscle tenderness with or without a fever.

There are other annoying reported side effects such as failure to perform during sex and thrush. Also, while the standard dosage of Zocar is 10 milligrams, 20 milligrams is also an acceptable dosage in more severe cases and, of interest that seems to be where many of the problems occur–like the problem I had on my face before I discovered¬†vitamin c serum.

It should be noted (my doctor has pounded this into my head) that just because one takes a cholesterol medication that does not give them license to eat anything they want; they won’t improve.

Zocar is an excellent and inoffensive for the most part. One might even go so far as to say it could be considered the drug of choice in the treatment for or prevention of cholesterol problems.

Zocar is also a very convenient medication from the standpoint that I only have to take it once a day and I typically take it at night. I suppose if there were a minor side effect I wouldn’t notice it because I’m asleep. But I have been on it long enough to know it doesn’t bother me.

I have had no problems with Zocar and it appears that people who have, by in large have only had minor side effects.
